Role Overview

The Head, Investor Relations & Marketing (Head, IR | Marketing) is responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s investor communications, capital narrative, and market positioning. This role sits at the intersection of capital formation, strategy, and brand, ensuring clarity, consistency, and credibility across all investor and external-facing communications.

The Head partners closely with the CEO, CIO, and leadership team to translate strategy, performance, and execution into a compelling, institutional-grade narrative for investors, partners, and stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

Investor Relations

• Lead III Ventures IR strategy across existing and prospective capital providers

• Develop and maintain clear, consistent investor communications, including:

  • Investor updates and performance reporting

  • Capital raise materials and data room narratives

  • LP communications and meeting preparation

• Serve as a senior point of contact for investors, ensuring trust, transparency, and alignment

• Coordinate closely with Capital, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency

• Support capital formation efforts through messaging, positioning, and investor engagement

Marketing & Brand Narrative

• Own external narrative across website, presentations, thought leadership, and media

• Ensure III Ventures’ positioning is clearly aligned with the platform

• Develop and oversee brand standards, messaging frameworks, and content strategy

• Translate complex strategy, execution, and results into clear, credible market-facing language

• Guide portfolio-level narrative support as needed (founder-facing, investor-facing, or market-facing)

Strategic Communications

• Partner with leadership to articulate:

  • Platform vision and strategy

  • Investment philosophy and differentiation

  • Execution model (Invest / Innovate / Institutionalize)

• Prepare leadership for investor meetings, conferences, and key communications

• Ensure consistent messaging across capital, venture, and portfolio activities

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with:

  • CEO on vision, tone, and strategic narrative

  • CIO | Head of Capital on fundraising, capital deployment messaging, and LP engagement

  • CFO | Finance on performance reporting and financial disclosures

  • CLCO | GC | Legal on compliance, disclosures, and regulatory considerations

• Act as a steward of institutional integrity across all communications

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in investor relations, capital markets, marketing, or strategic communications

• Background in venture capital, private equity, asset management, investment banking, or institutional finance preferred

• Proven experience supporting capital raises and managing institutional investor relationships

• Strong understanding of financial performance metrics, portfolio strategy, and capital structures

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complexity into clarity

• High judgment, discretion, and credibility with senior investors and executives
