Bong Suh is CFO and Partner at III Ventures. Bong Suh is a 30- year business leader and technology entrepreneur known for building successful companies through disciplined risk assessment, operational innovation, and strategic focus. In his leadership roles as a Board Member, CEO, CFO, and SVP, Bong has guided both emerging and established companies through pivotal growth stages, transforming nascent businesses into lasting enterprises. 


His executive experience spans notable companies including Beyond.com, BuyDirect, CNET, Coremetrics, Dynamic Signal, Wine.com, and World Golf Tour, demonstrating a consistent ability to scale operations and create strategically valuable businesses. 


Additionally, Bong has actively mentored over 20 Founder/CEOs by being a hands-on advisor to help them address operational, competitive, and financial challenges. This work not only built lasting friendships, but most of the entrepreneurs now mentor other Founder/CEOs across a range of technology sectors, including Digital Media, Enterprise SaaS, Renewable Energy, Ed Tech, Fin Tech, and AI Tools. 


In parallel with his business career, Bong has devoted over three decades to advancing sustainable agriculture and economic development. He served as a long-time advisor to Sustainable Harvest, the only North American recipient of the G20 Award for Inclusive Business Innovation, where he helped shape strategies that improved the livelihoods of over 300,000 smallholder farmers. 


He served as one of two board members of the Relationship Coffee Institute, a nonprofit created in conjunction with Bloomberg Philanthropies, which trained over 20,000 Rwandan women in coffee cultivation and cafe entrepreneurship. Bong is currently on the board of Honore Farm and Mill, a non-profit focused on regenerative farming. 


Before his work in technology and agriculture, Bong was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley & Co. and private equity associate at First City Capital in New York, an M&A banker at Robertson, Stephens & Co. in San Francisco, as well as a legislative advocate at Akin Gump in Washington, D.C. He holds a Juris Doctor from UC Berkeley School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
